Feb 6th through 8th, 2009.  Miami Light Project and Fundarte present the 2nd Annual Global Cuba Festival. Hosted at the beautiful North Beach Bandshell, Global Cuba Fest will feature some of the best in contemporary Cuban music including Grammy Award winner Albita, Alex Cuba and Yosvany Terry.

FUNDarte. November 7th, 2009. Gender-bending, great music, lots of laughs and some powerful takes on history and sexual identity are all part of the upcoming A Taste of Out in the Tropics Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) performing arts showcase.

Miami already has a homegrown, exciting arts scene that will only continue to flourish and grow through increased opportunities for professional artists to present their performance work. Fundarte’s Miami On Stage is a curated multi-disciplinary performing arts series featuring work by South Florida artists.

From Jun 9 through 19, 2011. Out in the Tropics kicks off its second year with a panel discussion and opening reception at The Shore Club hotel in Miami Beach. The evening begins with the ideas and insights of some of the best GLBT contemporary artists in Words and Power, a panel discussion moderated by Founding Artistic Director Robert Rosenberg.

FUNDarte and Miami Light Project proudly present the 5th Season of Global Cuba Fest, featuring the enchanting children´s musical play “Once upon a time in the Caribbean”, by Rita Rosa Ruesga, and direct from Cuba, Interactivo, the most provocative timba-funk band performing for the first time in the U.S.

From August 17 through September 22, 2012. In celebration of the centenary of the birth of controversial Cuban playwright Virgilio Piñera, the University of Miami (UM) Jerry Herman Ring Theatre will present five of his brilliant plays under the title of Absurd Celebration: The First International Festival of Virgilio Piñera’s Theatre.
