CONCERT LINEUP

Sunday, June 9, 3:00 p.m.
Bergonzi String Quartet and Margaret Donaghue Flavin
The Bergonzi String Quartet brings their polished sound to two poetic and poignant masterpieces.  Rarely heard outside of symphonic settings, we hear Sibelius at his most inward, during a crisis when a tumor was discovered in his throat.  Mozart’s contemplative and mellifluous quintet is here offered in performance by University of Miami professor Margaret Donaghue Flavin.
Sibelius:  String Quartet in D minor, Op. 56, “Voces intimae”
Mozart: Clarinet Quintet in A major, K. 581

Sunday, June 16, 3:00 p.m.
Special Festival Finale at Maurice Gusman Concert Hall
University of Miami
Join us for our final concert of the season as Marina Radiushina, Eli Matthews, and Joshua Roman offer a varied program, which runs the gamut of musical expression.  Musicologist Frank Cooper provides commentary on some of the most expressive and evocative music.
Mozart: Piano Trio in C major, K. 548
Janacek: Violin Sonata
Piazzolla: The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires
Selections from works by Schnittke, Pärt and de Falla

All concerts held at the Coral Gables Museum located at 285 Aragon Avenue in Coral Gables, except for June 16 which is held at Gusman Concert Hall, University of Miami 1314 Miller Drive in Coral Gables. Tickets are $20.
