MDC North Campus presents Miami International Festival of the Arts

From April 2 through 5, 2012.

Miami Dade College’s (MDC) North Campus educational renaissance marks a renewed emphasis on the arts with the presentation of the Miami International Festival of the Arts, being held April 2 through 5, 2012.

The Festival features four days of visual arts, concerts, dance recitals, theatrical presentations, book readings and movies that all highlight the outstanding talent of MDC’s students and faculty and special invited guests, who represent various art forms and genres.

Now, in its 11th year, MIFA (formerly known as Festival of the Arts) is a signature arts program of expanded scope and visibility. “The important role played by the arts in the development of individuals and societies is well documented,” said Dr. José A. Vicente, president of MDC’s North Campus. “As such, we’re proud of our institution’s place as an important convener of arts and culture in South Florida.”
