New Media Festival at Hardcore Art Contemporary Space

The 4th installment of Hardcore Art Contemporary Space’s New Media Festival opens to the public on September 12th, 2009. Titled “No Criteria”, this edition will surprise viewers with crawling giant ants, fighting bettas, cooking movie stars, rain storms, live crickets, choreographers turned multi-media artists, an environmental video-sculpture and much more.

Curated by Andreina Fuentes and Rochi Llaneza, this year’s festival will feature an assortment of art from all over the world. Some of the exhibiting artists and works include Jonathan Rockford’s three piece installation titled Transmissions, Robert Zuckerman’s Gumbonation, Marcos Montiel-Soto’s La Memoria es un Laberinto (Memory is a Labyrinth) and La Rutina Subterranea (The Subterranean Routine), Juan Requena’s projections Bettas and Fornication, Milcho’s video sculpture on crickets, Norma Catan’s video installation Nomade, Rochi Llaneza’s statement on bleached corals Too late now and works by Ignacio Goitia and Carlos Trilnick, among others.
