Performance Lab with Octavio Campos

From February 17 through February 20, 2014, 7:00 to 10:00 pm

MTC Resident Artist and SandBox Series producer Octavio Campos is a Miami-born, Cuban-American devised theater artist who has contributed creatively to some of the world’s most iconic performance projects with artists like Robert Wilson, Birgitta Trommler, and Philip Glass. He is a 2013-14 Resident Artist at The Baryshnikov Arts Center in New York, where he is currently developing his new one-man show, TRPL Quince.

For more than 30 years, Campos has been provoking audiences as a dancer, arts activist, educator, and choreographer. His MTC credits include choreographer of Everybody Drinks the Same Water (upcoming), Three Sisters, The Red Thread, Inanna and the Huluppu Tree, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, and Creation of the World. He earned a BFA in Dance and Composition at the State University of New York at Purchase and completed advanced studies at the Martha Graham School, Folkwang Schule of Pina Bausch, and Lincoln Center Director’s Lab.
