The Amernet String Quartet, FIU’s Ensemble-in-Residence, will be joined by pianist Heather Coltman as part of its annual series at FIU’s Miami Beach Urban Studios with a concert of works by Jewish Composers, in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The program will feature the monumental piano quintet by Erich Wolfgang Korngold and the premiere of Michael Shapiro’s Yiddish Quartet and will complement the Jewish Exhibit at CARTA Miami Beach Urban Studios.
The Amernet String Quartet has garnered worldwide praise and recognition as one of today’s exceptional young string quartets. They are the Artists-in-Residence at Florida International University, fascinating with flawless intonation, extraordinary beauty of sound, virtuosic brilliance and precision of ensemble.
