The Dick Lowenthal Orchestra pays Ella Fitzgerald Tribute with vocalist Lisanne Lyons, they celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ella Fitzgerald, one of the greatest jazz vocalists of all time. It will include music of many of the jazz icons with whom she collaborated, such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Louis Armstrong. Other selections to be performed come from the Great American Songbooks of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, and other legendary composers.
Lisanne has headlined at the Ottawa, Detroit, and Clearwater Jazz Festivals, and La Nuit du Jazz (France). She was the first to perform live the Nelson Riddle arrangements of the George Gershwin Songbook that he wrote for Ella Fitzgerald, who only recorded them. She is currently working on a new show, a tribute to the great vocalists Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Anita O’Day, Ella Fitzgerald, and others.
