Vices: A Love Story

Passion, energy and humor! Vices: A Love Story is a sophisticated exploration of relationships told through music and dance.  The pastiche of musical styles encompasses Celine Dion, Manhattan Transfer, Journey, R&B, Disco, and even 1930’s Movie Musicals. The variety of dance flavorings includes: contemporary, modern ballet, modern tap, and a variety of ballroom disciplines. Fans of So You Think You Can Dance will be in heaven.
Caldwell has assembled a “dream team” of creative artists to build this world premiere from the ground up. “To have acquired this depth and breadth of artistry and have them agree to come to South Florida in the middle of summer for this project, is a testament to the quality of the material and the belief that this Caldwell production is only a beginning” says Clive Cholerton, newly appointed Artistic Director.  

Vices: A Love Story features a cast of Natalie Venetia Belcon (Broadway-Rent, Avenue Q, Off-Broadway-The Glorious Ones), Carlos L. Encinias (Broadway-Mamma Mia, Good Vibrations, Les Miserables) Lara Janine (Off-Broadway in Rock of Ages) Leajato Amara Robinson (Off Broadway-Fire Throws, Shinbone Alley) and features the dancers, Holly Shunkey (National Tour-Contact) and Marcus Bellamy (Broadway-Tarzan, Spiderman).

The play is created by Story, Ilene Reid and Michael Heitzman, Music and Lyrics by Everett Bradley, Susan Draus, Ilene Reid and Michael Heitzman. Choreography is by AC Cuilla, the Emmy- Award winning (Stars on Ice) and Tony- nominated (Footloose) choreographer. Musical Direction from Jon Rose, who has toured extensively with Jon Secada, and Directed by Clive Cholerton. Sets are by Tim Bennett, Lighting by John Hall, Lane Starrat provides the Sound Design, and Costumes are designed by Alberto Arroyo, and state of the art projections are designed by Sean Lawson.
