Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre presents Unnecessary Farce

Jul 15 - Aug 9, 2015

Unnecessary Farce takes place in a cheap motel room, where an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his female accountant. In the room next-door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there’s some confusion as to who’s in which room, who’s being videotaped, who’s taken the money, who’s hired a hit man, and why the accountant keeps taking off her clothes. This riotously funny new comedy is full of mix-ups and mayhem.

Directed by Actors’ Playhouse Artistic Director David Arisco, the cast includes a talented array of actors led by Chris Crawford (Carbonell Award-winning in Murder Ballad), Allan Baker (Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical, Becky’s New Car),Elizabeth Dimon (Miracle on South Division Street, Making God Laugh), Cliff Burgess, known for various productions in the South Florida area, Katherine Amadeo (House and Garden, The Sound of Music), Jim Ballard (SPAMALOT, Rated P for Parenthood, Urinetown)and AP newcomer Jessica Sanford. The creative team for Unnecessary Farce includes: Gene Seyffer (scenic design), Ellis Tillman (costume design), Eric Nelson (lighting design) and Shaun Mitchell (sound design).
