Actors Playhouse. The Mystery of Irma Vep

From Jul 12th through Sept 3rd, 2006Actors Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables ends its season with one of the most-produced comedies in U.S. history, The Mystery of Irma Vep. This hilarious spoof by Charles Ludlam, the late founder of New York City’s Ridiculous Theatrical Company, is a campy tribute to gothic horror films. The Mystery of Irma Vep is directed by Actors’ Playhouse Artistic Director David Arisco. Two of South Florida’s favorite actors play all of the play’s eight characters, racing through a literal quick-change marathon complete with werewolves, vampires and damsels in distress. The two actors taking on the challenge of The Mystery of Irma Vep are John Felix as Jane Twisden and Lord Edgar and Tom Wahl as Nicodemus Underwood, Lady Enid, and others. Both are award-winning actors who have graced multiple stages for the past dozen years. For more information, please call: 305.444.9293
