Prelude to a Goldcoast Summer

April 23rd and 29th, 2006Heralded as two of the nation’s most accomplished and active adult choral organizations, the Civic Chorale of Greater Miami and the Nova Singers will present two concerts in April, 2006. The concerts, which will close the 35th Anniversary season for the Civic Chorale, will feature individual programs of great American composers. The concert will culminate with the combined choirs singing Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria”, presented with guest soloists and orchestra. Featured members of the orchestra will include members of the Bergonzi Quartet. Under the direction of Robert Gower and. Lee Kjelson, the Civic Chorale of Greater Miami has been a vital part of the University of Miami and the South Florida musical community since 1970. The group is comprised of students and adult members of the community who share a love for singing and musical excellence. An eclectic selection of music is rehearsed at the University of Miami Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music and performed at various venues throughout the concert season.
