Puppy Love by Luminaire

From Dec 6th through Dec 10th, 2006Puppy Love by Luminaire December 8th, 2006 Luminaire presents Puppy Love, a charity auction in aid of the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center during the week of Art Basel Miami Beach. The event will culminate with a private dinner and live auction of six of the puppies on December 8th, 2006. The remainder of the puppies will be bid on through December 10th at the Luminaire Contract Showroom in the Design District. This auction will be a creative platform for artists and designers to express their vision and talent through the customization of the Puppy L, a plastic puppy generously donated by Magis. A blank canvas in the form of a 3-D plastic puppy will be injected with individual character and personality as each artist and designer transforms their Puppy into a unique piece of artwork. Some of the designers and artists creating a Puppy are Humberto and Fernando Campana, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Richard Sapper, Corto Moltedo, Piero Lissoni, Ross Lovegrove, Jasper Morrison, Marcel Wanders, Konstantin Grcic, Jeffrey Burnett, Shigeru Uchida, Jean Marie Massaud, Piet Stockmans, Michele Oka Doner, Guilio Cappellini, Herzog & de Meuron, Federico Uribe, and Jose Parla, among others.
