From Aug 25th through Sep 10th, 2006The International Ballet Festival of Miami, organized by the Miami Hispanic Ballet has reached its 11th Anniversary this year. Created by Pedro Pablo Peña in 1995, the event has been continuously offering audiences a great opportunity to enjoy performances by some of the world’s leading companies and dancers. This year’s program includes performances by established international companies such as the Royal Ballet from England, the Stuttgart Ballet from Germany and Ballet Nacional de Portugal. Among the national companies invited to participate in the event this year are the Classical Ballets from Cincinnati , Arizona, Tulsa and San Francisco. The festival is also honoring Miami based companies by including performances by the Miami Contemporary Dance Company, Freddick Bratcher & Company, Dance Now and the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami.
