Sommerabendmusik

August 24th, 2006Chamber Music South presents the last concert from its series Sommerabendmusik at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Delray Beach. The concert will feature flutist Christine Nield-Capote, cellist Claudio Jaffe and pianist Roberta Rust. The program to be performed will include Joseph Haydn’s Trio Number 30, Robert Schumann’s Three Fantasy Pieces, Opus 73, Manuel de Falla’s Suite Populaire Espagnole, Sergei Prokofiev’s Sonata Opus 94 and Astor Piazzola’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, Primavera Portena . Ms. Nield-Capote was principal flutist with the Florida Philharmonic before the orchestra’s financial collapse in 2003. She currently plays with the Boca Raton Sinfonia Philharmonica performing in recitals and chamber music concert around the world. Mr. Jaffe, the cellist, has appeared as soloist with the Calgary Philharmonic, the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra under Mehli Mehta, the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the Delaware Symphony and in many solo recital concerts in the United States. Roberta Rust began her concert career as solist with the Houston Symphony Orchestra at age sixteen and has since appeared with numerous orchestras including the New World Symphony, Symphony of the Americas, Boca Raton Philharmonica Symphonia, among others.
