What becomes a female-to-male transgendered performer from Atlanta the most? Apparently an evening of comedy, contradictions, aerial acrobatics and multimedia storytelling, that’s what. Scott Turner Schofield, named a “Young Trans Hero of 2006” by The Advocate magazine, brings his new autobiographical show, Becoming a Man in 127 Easy Steps, to Miami and gives us a performance that challenges fundamental assumptions about gender, sex and identity. Schofield, with sharp wit and unfailing warmth, invites the audience to come along on this surprising journey of finding oneself.
