Sculpture Key West 2006.

From Jan 15th through March 17th, 2006Sculpture Key West is an annual exhibition of contemporary outdoor sculptureset in Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West, Florida. Every winter the park becomes home to an exhibition of large-scale sculptures, many of them created specifically for the site by leading sculptors from around the world. The event has come to its 11th edition gathering an impressive group of international artists coming from several countries around the globe. Sculptors from Germany, Netherlands, France and even from Australia have joined Key West artists during the this true celebration of the open air sculpture. The works were installed throughout several locations around the city including the entrance of Bayview Park, the Keys Energy building and the Key West Tropical Forest but you could find the most amazing shapes and figures located by the sea integrating with the spectaculars sea views that have made Key West a destiny for vacationers. Now, it was more to see than Gulf sunsets or the old Hemingway residency. Art also goes to Key West.
