Through Jan 23, 2016

The Diana Lowenstein Gallery is pleased to present a one man exhibition: Udo Nöger. Nöger’ paintings are more an investigation of what happens beneath the surface of the canvas than a process of fill them up with colors. It turns to be a seeking of meaning related to light itself. The significance of luminosity goes beyond the practical purpose of highlighting the compositions reaching the objective of rendering abstractions of light.

Udo Nöger (b. in 1961 in Enger Germany). He grew up in Bielefeld where he studied painting at the Fachhochschu le Bielefelf University from which he graduated in 1983. He made his exhibition debut in 1984 in Germany. Since then he held studios in Berlin, Cologne, New York and Miami. Nöger’s art has been exhibited over the last 30 years throughout museums and galleries in Europe, Asia and the US.
