Bas Fisher Invitational presents Goodness Gracious with Kevin Arrow & Clifton Childree

altThe Bas Fisher Invitational (BFI) presents Goodness Gracious bus tour with Kevin Arrow & Clifton Childree. Goodness Gracious is the second of three artist-led bus tours that take willing participants on day-long trips to undisclosed locations around Miami selected by the artists. The three tours are part of the Weird Miami project, which includes the exhibition Weird Miami Visitors Center on view through September 19th, 2010 at the BFI gallery space.

Kevin Arrow (born 1962, New York) lives and works in Miami, Florida and has multiple artist lives. A skilled draftsman, painter, film maker, museum professional and archivist, he now adds Weird Miami “Goodness Gracious” Tour Guide to his list of skills. Having lived in South Florida for the last twenty five years Kevin has come into contact with many of South Florida’s most luminous unrecognized personalities. Kevin’s work can currently be seen in the New Work Miami 2010 exhibition at the Miami Art Museum (MAM) on view until October 17, 2010.

Miami resident Clifton Childree is a filmmaker/artist who has shown his work in over 40 international film festivals. He has shown locally at MAM, MoCA, Art Center South Florida, BFI, Pulse Art Fair, FIU, Miami International Film Festival, Florida Dance Festival, Locust Projects, as well as a handful of local galleries. He received the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship, the Legal Art Native Seeds Grant, and the Florida Individual Artist Fellowship. Childree is in production on a book for NAME publishing. He will have his first solo museum show at the Wien Kunsthalle, summer 2011.

Kevin Arrow and Clifton Childree regularly host Super 8 Night at the BFI, where they select and show rare and unique super 8 films from their personal collections.
