Freshly Squeezed: A Group Exhibition At Dina Mitrani Gallery

From June 12, 2014 through August 9, 2014
Opening Reception: Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm

Dina Mitrani Gallery is pleased to present Freshly Squeezed, a group exhibition curated by Jesus Petroccini and Julian Pardo , founders of Foto 33, an e-magazine about the photography as a medium. Emerging local artists have a chance to showcase their work, with Pardo and Petroccini organizing the exhibition. Intending to unveil photographers working in South Florida, the complex relationships between artist and environment are visually unfurled. A tropical party-appendix to the continental U.S., South Florida is a cultural destination for the rest of the world – an interesting paradigm for those that have carved a niche through their life and work in the area. Breaking these preconceptions requires a shift in awareness from the international art scene towards the artists who have focused their attention on this very region.

Dina Mitrani Gallery opened in November 2008 and specializes in international contemporary photography. The gallery represents emerging and mid-career artists, offers artists talks and lectures on photography as well as photo-objects and books. The gallery is committed to promoting its artists, as well as collaborating with curators, and providing the community with engaging fine art photography.

Admission: Free and open to the public
Gallery Hours: Tuesday through Friday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm
