ME TOO: All the Same at the Bakehouse Art Complex

From October 14 through November 1, 2011.

Communication Arts graduate students from St. Thomas University with the Bakehouse Art Complex invite you to an exhibit titled ME TOO: All the Same. Through revealing self – portraits artists explore a connection of their hidden selves with the audience.

“The exhibit bridges the gap between artist and viewer by building a connection through interaction,” states Loren Santiesteban, Project Manager. Viewers are encouraged to pose for the camera by entering a booth equipped with a Self- Portrait Interactive Video that reveals a side they seldom show to society. They will be able to view the live feed and become part of the gallery landscape.

St. Thomas University event management students offer a rare twist in art exhibition. ME TOO offers an alliance between talented graduate students, selected artists from the Bakehouse Art Complex (BAC), coupled with the expertise of Miami World Cinema Center. The combined efforts of each of these organizations present a creative collaboration that offers an insight to both the artist and the audience. Students are involved in every aspect of the event from marketing and management to design and curating.

The Masters in Communication Arts with specializations in Art Management and Electronic Media at St. Thomas University strives to bring professionals to the ever-growing field of the Arts and Media to South Florida and beyond. Classes are held in the evenings for working professionals.
