University of Miami. Art and Art History Department's Faculty Artwork

altThe Department of Art and Art History, in the College of Arts and Sciences at UM, presents the work of its 2010 Faculty Members at the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Gallery located at the Wesley Foundation at 1210 Stanford Drive in Coral Gables.

This year’s faculty show will include the works of UM Professors Bill Carlson (Sculpture/Glass), Brian Curtis (Drawing), Darby Bannard (Painting), Ivan Albrecht (Ceramics), Lise Drost (Printmaking), Billie Lynn (Sculpture), Mariah Fox Hausman (Graphic Design), Kyle Trowbridge (Painting), Tom Lopez (Photography) and many more. Works on display include photography, sculpture, prints, installation, ceramics, painting, drawing and video.

The Department of Art and Art History offers a wide range of media for the students to study and has been hiring faculty with the specific goal of creating a very diverse range of approaches to both the handling of materials and philosophies towards art-making. This faculty exhibition of full time and part time faculty will show that range of approaches.

Regular gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 12pm to 4pm. Sundays and Monday are closed. A full schedule of exhibitions can be viewed at www.as.miami.edu/art.
