Casa Bacardi opens Tierra Firme

New Works by Laura Luna From Sep 7th through Oct 25th, 2006 Casa Bacardi in Coral Gables presents the solo show by Laura Luna Tierra Firme: New Works on Paper and Sculptures. The exhibition features a series of new works on paper and bronze sculptures focused on archetypal and powerful female bodies. Laura Luna calls her work arte firme. In her opinion this is art that is intended to remain not only through its concept, but through its actual existence. Because of its permanence and capacity to endure, bronze is one of her preferred sculptural mediums.
