January 2011. International “green” architect Chad Oppenheim completed the new entrance for the Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach. The rejuvenated entrance was officially unveiled during a ceremony on December 2010 celebrating the opening of Collins Park – one of the city’s new living rooms.
December 2010. Winners of the 2010 DawnTown architecture competition, which invited innovative designs for a seaplane terminal on an island in downtown Miami, were announced on December 3rd, at an award ceremony that featured remarks by world-famous architects Chad Oppenheim and Terry Riley.

The Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects announced HOK has been selected to receive the 2010 AIA Florida Honor Award of Excellence for New Work for its work on The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum project.
From Sept 10th through Oct 17th, 2010. ArtCenter/South Florida is hosting a series of posters produced by artist Philip Brooker for the inaugural year of the Miami Poster Project, a brand-new initiative. The AIA (American Institute of Architects) has voted Pugh + Scarpa Architects the winners of the 2010 Architecture Firm Award. The award, given annually, is the highest honour the AIA bestows on an architecture firm and recognizes a practice that has consistently produced distinguished architecture for at least 10 years.
