From Jul 8th through Sep 2nd, 2006Dorsch Gallery in Wynwood Art District opened the exhibition Amoeba: New Sterographic works by William Keddell. When talking about the nature of his work, the artist comments: “I am using stereography to explore and bring attention to the full corporeality of space. The traditional Japanese notion that empty space as something palpable is fundamental to my work. Exploring ways to delineate and draw this space is essentially what my work is all about”. The exhibition includes the Amoeba Series and tropical landscapes, using a sculptural puzzle that directs the viewers toward new readings of the landscape.
