SUYU Cultural Center. Miami Arts
SUYU Cultural Center is a cooperative art gallery, music and cultural center encompassing 5,000 square feet, designed to promote the visual arts, music, dance, and literature of different cultures of the world. Located in the heart of North Miami’s Art District at 12399 West Dixie Highway, this venue offers the public music and dance performances on a regular basis. The guiding philosophy of the cultural center is that through an arts exchange, harmony can be achieved among the various cultural traditions in our community.

Each month, some fifteen artists will exhibit their work, and jazz performances are scheduled for each Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Art openings will be held in conjunction with North Miami’s monthly gallery walk and MOCA’s own free jazz concert on the last Friday of each month. Donna Lee Steffens, featured artist for the April opening, has been a well-known Miami artist all her life, and appears in numerous local art collections. She has unveiled her 2008 mixed media collection at the April 10th opening of SUYU Cultural Center and will run through June 12th, 2008.
