November 2012. Renovations have begun to the gallery’s building at 151 NW 24 Street, where the gallery has been located since 2000. When the gallery re-opens in February 2013, visitors will enter the new gallery space by walking through our adjacent lot into a new lobby on the east side of the building.

August 2012. Cartier is one of the first new luxury tenants to open in the Miami Design District. The new Cartier boutique will have a 4,331-square-feet store, with just under 3,000-square-feet for retail space. A number of local residents, business owners and developers are concerned about the number of historic Little Havana bungalows that have been razed (destroyed) in recent months – sometimes just to make way for a parking lot. Little Havana has more bungalows than any other neighborhood in Miami.

French Alliance. February 28, 2012. 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Next Tuesday at the French Alliance just west of downtown on Calle Ocho, Pecha Kucha Miami will feature six local speakers whose computer animation, motion graphics, and programming skills are nationally and internationally recognized.
