Coming Attractions: New paintings by Arnold Mesches From Jan 13th through Feb 24th, 2007Dorsch Gallery in Wynwood Art District presents Coming Attractions, an exhibition of works by renowned artist Arnold Mesches. The cycle of paintings comprises the most recent works of Mesches? expansive career, one that spans more than 60 years. This will his 124th solo exhibition in which the artist engages the notion of spectacle, flamboyance and darkness, both in color and content. A master of the brush, Mesches? artworks have been exhibited extensively in renowned venues throughout the United States and abroad, most recently at PS1 Contemporary the Museum of Modern Art affiliate, and New Orleans? Ogden Museum in New Orleans. Mesches? works are also included in the collections of such distinguished institutions as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Albright-Knox Museum, the High Museum of Art.
