Main Library Auditorium From Mar 15th through Jun 1st, 2007The Miami Main Library is presenting the exhibition Jacques Henri Lartigue: A Boy, a Camera, an Era at the Auditorium, located within the library’s facilities in Downtown Miami. Born in Courbevoie, France in 1894, Lartigue was a seminal artist and photographer who began taking photographs at the age of six, thus beginning a lifetime practice of documenting his world through photography, journals and photo albums. Lartigue’s exuberant childhood photographs are the focus of this exhibition, which depict his everyday life; family, friends, exciting new inventions like automobiles and airplanes, and ‘a vivid, candid portrait of life during the pre-war Belle Époque.’ For more information, please call: 305.375.2665
